Reverse Swing

It's nice to see South Africa in the semifinals and hard luck to a very talented England side.
South Africa have under achieved in major ICC events. The talent they have at their disposal is huge but their talent never mirror their achievement. In fact every time they lose their way the C word, CHOKERS, is thrown at them. I wish this time they prove that they are worth a major Trophy.
I think AB de Villiers's innings made life difficult for England. To me AB is world's best batsman in all the formats of the game. If I was to bowl at him, I would have thought a lot. The way he sweeps the ball, moves to the off side to send the ball sailing over the leg-side boundary is awesome.
Hashim Amla also batted well in South Africa's big total of 196-5. To many Amla is not suitable for the shortest format of the game but the bearded wonder proved that if someone is good for Tests and one-dayers then he can play the T20s as well as he can rotate the strike and hit when it's needed.
South Africa once again held their nerves and made the target difficult for England. England were once again looking to Alex Hales to repeat the trick but South Africa had more pace bowlers than Sri Lanka and to South Africa's advantage there was less dew on Saturday. It worked for their benefit. I am also impressed the way Imran Tahir is bowling. He wiped the ball after every delivery and didn't try to spin the ball. With his action he gets the spin and wickets.
I think Dale Steyn once again bowled well. Although he went for few runs in the end but he was cool under a pressure cooker situation and that worked for South Africa.
Overall it's no fun to see a wet ball. It's just not cricket because excessive dew made life difficult for the bowlers and they can't grip it which makes the decision to bowl first much easier for the captains.
So well done South Africa and hard luck for England.
