“Election Caricature” staged by AIUB Drama Club

On December 4, 2016, they staged “Election Caricature” written by prominent playwright the late S.M Solayman. It was their 2^nd show of this play first staged in 2013.

Unstable politics, power grabbing, greed, and the character of the country's politicians appear in this comedy. The transfer of power through the formalities does not improve the country's fate; it always tends to be absorbed by the vulnerable population – the playwright has presented this brutal truth in his play.

The show came to an end with the members of ADC expressing their gratitude to the audience as well as the Office of Student Affairs and the management, Alumni members of the club, along with the members from other fellow clubs who came to attend the programme, for their support towards the club and its activities to uphold the art of theatre.

Dr. Tabin Hasan, Department Head (Graduate), Faculty of Information Science & Technology along with founder President of ADC Iftekhar Bin Yousuf and founder Vice President Robiul Hossain distributed Alumni Crest to ADC alumni members. Everyone applauded their efforts and seemed to look forward to their next play.
