Showbiz Highlight Reel (2015-2016)

The years 2015 and 2016 has seen some of the most attention-grabbing occurrences in show business' rich history. There were many topics succumbed for discussions among the people. Some of the most common debates go around regarding whether the rising superstars, who are on the verge of taking over the industry can place their feet on the ground permanently and overthrow the already established celebrities in the same arena who are struggling to maintain a stronghold; it is very much uncertain where the industry is headed. Showbiz is proud to be able to bring all the major moments of these two jaw-dropping entertaining years to its viewers, however, for this edition, we have decided not to maintain status quo and present chitchats, rather present the viewers with the highlight of some of the most positive and uplifting stories and insights covered by Showbiz during its calendar years 2015-2016.

THE FATE OF TELEVISION (Volume 03, Issue 07, 03 October Saturday, 2015)
The analysis done on the fate of television was well received by both fans and celebrities in the country. The meeting among Siam Ahmed, Shahtaj Monira Hashem, and Masud Hasan Ujjal set by Star Showbiz for a lively discussion about how the television industry is performing including the shortcomings and opportunities. The enlightening discussion included talks about what could be done to bring back viewers to local channels rather than the Indian channels, to which the guests provided suggestions ranging from changing the concept of monotonous creations to bringing more dynamic versatility in television shows to developing separate shows based on the target age groups to cater to separate tastes. The meeting was one of Showbiz's most productive ones so far!

WIND OF CHANGE
(Volume 03, Issue 47, 23 July Saturday, 2016)
And at last, but not the least important of news, the ingenious initiative by Kaushik Hossain Taposh made headlines both in Star Showbiz and in all forms of media throughout Bangladesh. The brainchild behind "Wind of Change" started the project with the intention to connect musicians from different parts of the world and allow these artists to exchange experiences with other fellow musicians. The musical performances were composed by the brainchild of the concept himself, Kaushik Hossain Taposh. The series was Gaan Bangla Television's approach to spreading positivity and unite cultures through one of the most effective forms of communication: Music.

MAKE WAY FOR THE TIGRESSES! (Volume 03, Issue 29, 12 March Saturday, 2016)
An out-of-character attempt from Showbiz to acknowledge the ladies on International Women's Day, a spectacular day on the calendar, was by bringing light to women's international cricket team for our cricket-crazed nation. With the tigers' international fame firmly established, it was time for the tigresses to roar and put the fear of God in their rivals. At the moment the article was written, the women's cricket team was ranked 9th on the ICC Women's Championship Ranking, ahead of Ireland and behind Sri Lanka. The degree that the tigresses have come is astounding and just like the tigers, it is only a matter of time till tigresses roared their way to the top. The article is one of Showbiz's personal favorites.

L'EDITION DE CANNES (Volume 03, Issue 40, 28 May Saturday, 2016)
A personal favorite of the editor-in-charge of Showbiz, the article is about a splendid two-year experience of the editor-in-charge, witnessing the colossal film event known as Cannes. There were also discussions relating to the diverse winners of various prizes, which was a mixed bag. This year, Cannes has seen the most number of participants in various categories.  The edition also included reviews of some of the movies at Cannes.

THE BERLINALE EXPERIENCE (Volume 03, Issue 30, 19 March Saturday, 2016)
An exclusive look into one of the most celebrated events of the year, the 66th Berlin Film Festival held from 11-20 February 2016, was as good as anyone could expect. The piece includes narrations from the editor-in-charge of his experience at this festival, and comprises of his humorous rhetoric thoughts. These events are not just festivals anymore as they include plenty of workshops and trainings conducted for anyone interested.
