Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed that its players have been granted clearance to participate in the upcoming edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), following consultations with government authorities and security assurances from Islamabad.

In a press release issued on Monday, the board said it had maintained close coordination with the Ministry of Youth & Sports and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the matter. Based on assurances received from the Bangladesh Mission in Islamabad, BCB stated that there are no prevailing security or safety concerns for players set to represent various franchises in the tournament.

“With these assurances in place, the players have travelled to Pakistan for the tournament,” the release read, adding that the board would continue to prioritise player wellbeing and remain in close contact with all relevant parties.

The confirmation came after several Bangladesh players departed for Pakistan, shortly after the conclusion of the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, to take part in the 11th edition of the PSL.
