Hasan Mahmud made an impressive return to the County Championship, taking seven wickets across two innings as Kent secured their sixth victory of the season.

Bangladesh left-arm pacer Shoriful Islam could follow in Hasan Mahmud’s footsteps and turn out for Kent, with the county club having expressed interest in signing him, sources confirmed on Tuesday.

Hasan is next set to feature against Middlesex at home during the 174th Canterbury Cricket Week from June 19-22.

Hasan Mahmud has become the first cricketer from Bangladesh to play county cricket for Kent, the English county said on Tuesday following his signing.  The right-arm pacer will play in six Rothesay County Championship matches, starting in June and running until the end of the season.
