Since his childhood, he wanted to be a painter but his father had other plans for him. He wanted his son to become an architect or an engineer. But born in the family of Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin, how could he become anything else but an artist? Mizanur Rahim, one of the masters in the area of lithography, has not only created a significant number of exquisite and startling art pieces throughout his creative journey, but has also represented the Bangladeshi art scene globally through different group shows on graphic prints and contemporary paintings. Apart from his art, Rahman has served as a teacher in different Universities for 42 years of his illustrated career.

I admire Rashid Chowdhury very much. He was the man who pioneered the art movement in Chittagong, and I was fortunate enough to accompany him in his mission.

I am not confined to any particular time of the day. Whenever I feel a strong desire to paint, I am ready with my paintbrush.
