1 MINUTE PLEASE!
He finds happiness by making others laugh. One of the pioneer standup comedians of Bangladesh, and a member of Naveed's Comedy Club, Solaiman Shukhon was probably born to spread laughter all around him. Apart from stage shows, his YouTube show has a decent fan following with over 1,900 people subscribing to his YouTube channel. Here the comedy king speaks about MacGyver, the fact that he is not a joker and a joke that didn't quite work.
Childhood Hero
MacGyver played by Richard Dean Anderson.
That Awkward Moment When You Cracked a Joke, But No One Laughed
This happens; in fact many jokes don't quite work the way I want them to. Sometimes not everyone gets the context in the first place, so even after shooting off the punch line, the listener does not get the joke. Once I made joke on new technology in an elderly crowd and I got blank expressions from everyone. So I took a pause and diverted the topic to something else and at that point I got the expected result.
Misconception Regarding a Standup Comedian
To some, we are seen as jokers or clowns, the terms which bear serious negative connotations in our culture. People here think that standup comedians are people who lack depth in their personality whereas in other cultures good comedians are regarded on the same plane as philosophers.
Biggest Challenge You Faced till Date
We face serious limitations when selecting our subject matter. There are topics of conversation, for example politics, that make people in a culture uncomfortable as they are seen as very private and controversial matters.

A Show You Still Remember
I did a show three years back at North South University in front of a huge crowd. That show was a great hit. Someone from the crowd recorded the show, shared it on his social network and it got viral.
A Dream Yet to be Fulfilled
To perform in one of the biggest auditoriums of the country filled with an appreciative audience.
