The convict is Abdul Hannan of Dolua in Bheramara upazila.

The convict raped the girl in January, 2001. But the victim could not disclose the incident as the rapist threatened to kill her.

However, after several months of the incident the victim became pregnant. Then her poor father met the culprit and proposed to marry her, but he declined. Finally, he filed a case against him.
