Processions for removal of VC
Teachers, students and all classes of officials and employees staged separate demonstrations on Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU) campus on Thursday demanding removal of its Vice-chancellor Dr Prof AKM Abdul Hannan Bhuyan.
The students held a rally at about 11 am and paraded the campus chanting slogans demanding his removal.
This was followed by a meeting of the Teachers Association. Nizam Uddin, Iqbal Hossain, Habibur Rahman, Mohsin Hossain Khan, Hamidur Rahman addressed the meeting with its convener AKM Mostafa Zaman in the chair.
In the afternoon, 3rd and 4th class employee brought out a procession on the campus.
The VC who left the campus during the Eid-Ul-Azha vacation did not return till yesterday campus sources said.
