Tk 50,000 given to Rangamati fire victims
The district administration in a letter to the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) Affairs Ministry has sought Tk two lakh and 20 tonnes of foodgrains as relief for 115 victims of the recent fire incident at a village in Rajostholi upazila.
The families are now homeless as the devastating fire gutted their houses and over one hundred shops, Deputy Commissioner Dr Jafar Ahmed Khan told this correspondent.
The Rangamati Hill District Council (RHDC) has distributed Tk 50,000 among the victims, the DC said. members.
