Two JCD men held in Sylhet for 'mugging'
Vice-President (VP) of Sylhet city unit of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) Ashrafuddin Jewel and a JCD cadre Anwar Hossain Manik alias Kala Manik were arrested on Thursday.
Kotwali police arrested him on charge of mugging from the city's Nayasarak area.
Another VP of the district JCD Shah Saidur Rahman Hiru has been absconding after facing the same charge, police said.
Jashim Miah, a businessman in South Surma area was mugged by an armed group near Shahjahan Hotel at Zindabazar while he was on way to Standard Chartered Bank in Dargah gate area. He was robbed off Tk one lakh at gun point.
