Dacoits loot Tk 5 lakh goods from Bogra market
Dacoits stabbed two night guards at Chanderbazar market on the outskirts of Bogra town and took away 135 bags of fertiliser and huge quantities of pesticide and cloth worth about Tk five lakh on gunpoint in the early hours of Saturday.
They loaded the booty in truck and an autotempo and sped away.
Quoting witnesses police said 25 to 30 armed dacoits came to the market at about 3am with a truck and an autotempo. They stabbed night guards Abdul Jalil and Jobed Ali and tied them up.
They looted the goods from Rafiq Traders, Earshad Variety Store, Tinbhai Traders and Joty Cloth Store by breaking locks shatters. They also took away about Tk 20,000.
The two night guards are under treatment. The shop owners filed a case with the Sadar thana but police could neither arrest any body nor recover the looted goods till Saturday evening.
