5th Udichi tragedy anniversary observed
The fifth anniversary of bomb blast incident at the venue of 12th National Convention of Udichi Shilpi Goshthi in Jessore was observed on Saturday.
Udichi members in Jessore observed the day wearing black badges, donating blood, holding protest rally and organising a cultural function at the town hall ground.
Ten persons were killed and 200 others injured in bomb blasts on March 6 in 1999 at the convention venue. Most of the injured were maimed.
In Khulna, Udichi members held a cultural function at Shahid Haris Park.
