Khulna Hardboard Mill may reopen in May

The Ministry of Industries has asked the Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) to take necessary steps in this regard.

However, the manpower of the mill would be reduced to 142 from 242, sources said.

Moreover, officials in important posts will be appointed on contract basis where experience and skill will be given the first preference, sources further said.

The government will provide 20 lakh taka as an initial grant to reopen the mill.
