34 more cases sent to Barisal STT

Papers of the cases have reached the Tribunal, sources said yesterday.

Twenty-eight of these are murder and rape cases, five arms cases and one is drug case.

The cases were sent from courts in Patuakhali, Barguna, Jhalokathi, Pirozpur and Barisal.

These include the sensational Pavel murder case in Uzirpur, Rashed murder case in Bakerganj and the double murder case in Barguna.

Pavel, a student of Shikarpur College in Uzirpur was murdered in July 2000. Rashed was murdered in July last year.

Motaleb Howlader of Fuldhulua village allegedly killed his wife and daughter to implicate his rivals in a murder case.
