Students demand removal of RU women hall provost

They are demanding withdrawal of guest charge, reduction of seat rent and solution of other problems.

Women police have been deployed at the hall to stave off further violence.

After the incident, some resident students told newsmen that they went to meet the provost earlier on the day to discuss their problems. But she misbehaved with them.

RU Proctor Prof Shamsul Alam Sarker visited the hall after the incident.

When contacted Dr Anjuman Ara Begum denied the allegations.
