Hundreds parade Rajshahi streets for trial of killers

Hundreds of people including professionals, freedom fighters, cultural activists and journalists on Saturday brought out a silent procession in Rajshahi to

press the government for the arrest and trial of the killers of former finance minister and Awami League (AL) lawmaker Shah AMS Kibria.

Participants wore black badges and carried black flags to expressing solidarity with the non-violent movement launched by Kibria's family members.

Later, a joint meeting was held at zero point here.

Speakers demanded resignation of the government if they fail to arrest and punish the killers.

A mass signature campaign also started at the zero point where a large number of people put their signatures on a long white cloth.
