Our Correspondent, Jessore
The body of SM Ehsanul Haque Mahin, a class eight student of BAF Shaheen College, Jessore, was exhumed yesterday after 55 days of his burial.

Mahin was the son of Emdadul Haque, Warrant Officer of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF).

Mahin's mother Haruna Begun in a letter to Prime Minister Khaleda Zia on November 7 claimed that her son was killed by 'watchers' of BAF base Matiur Rahman when he was returning home at about 3 am after saying prayers on the night of Shab-e-Barat on September 19 at BAF central mosque.

But the watchers claimed that Mahin died after falling from the roof of a building although there was no mark of injury to suggest a fall from a building.

After receiving a copy of the better, Kotwali police sought permission from Jessore Deputy Commissioner to exhume the body of Mahin.

The Jesssore Deputy Commissioner requested the Narail Deputy Commissioner to depute a Magistrate to exhume the body from the grave at Raju Pur village in Lohagara upazila in Narail district.

The Narail Deputy Commissioner deputed Magistrate Anwarul Naser and told Investigation Officer (IO) Ayub Ali Sharif of Jessore Kotwali thana to remain present at the grave.

The body was exhumed in presence of Magistrate Anwarul Naser and IO Ayub Ali Sharif and sent to Narail Sadar Hospital for autopsy, police sources said.
