Biman’s first post-Hajj flight lands in Dhaka with pilgrims from Jeddah
Biman Bangladesh Airlines today launched its post-Hajj flight operations, welcoming returning pilgrims from Saudi Arabia with flowers and holy Zamzam water at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
The national flag carrier's first return Hajj flight, BG336, carrying pilgrims from Jeddah, landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10:35am.
Managing Director and CEO of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Kaizar Sohel Ahmed welcomed the pilgrims at the airport. Deputy Managing Director and Deputy CEO Syed Moin Uddin Ahmed, Director Customer Service (Acting) Mohiuddin Ahmed, Executive Director of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Group Captain SM Ragib Samad and other senior officials were present.
Pilgrims arriving on Saudia flights were also accorded a similar reception.
Biman transported 38,679 Bangladeshi pilgrims to Saudi Arabia this year in 98 flights. Under the post-Hajj programme scheduled from May 30 to June 30, Biman plans to bring back around 39,650 pilgrims through a total of 106 return flights.
Biman said it remains committed to ensuring safe, punctual and quality passenger services throughout the Hajj return operations as part of its responsibilities as the national flag carrier.
The airline requested pilgrims and their family members to follow its call centre, respective Hajj agencies and official website for the latest flight schedules and operational updates.
