Pubali Bank organises ‘Annual Risk Conference’

Pubali Bank PLC organised the "Annual Risk Conference 2024" at the bank's head office in Dhaka today in a bid to ensure robust risk management and regulatory compliance.

Over 200 participants of the bank across the country attended the conference.

Md Mezbaul Haque, executive director of the Department of Offsite Supervision at the Bangladesh Bank, inaugurated the event as the chief guest, said a press release.

In his address, Haque said risk management is one of the most critical aspects of today's banking sector.

"Such conferences provide valuable guidance in addressing risks effectively and contribute to a more stable and secure financial sector," he added.

"This conference will play a crucial role in formulating innovative strategies and perspectives to address banking risks. The insights gained from this conference will contribute significantly to enhancing our banking operations," Mohammad Ali, managing director and CEO of Pubali Bank PLC, said while attending as the guest of honour.

Md Monjurul Islam Mojumder, general manager and chief risk officer, presided over the meeting, where Surabhi Ghosh, additional director and Mahmuda Haque, joint directors of the Department of Offsite Supervision of the central bank, attended the event as resource persons.

Md Esha, Mohammad Shahadat Hossain, Ahmed Enayet Manzur, Md Shahnewaz Khan and Mohammad Anisuzzaman, deputy managing directors of Pubali Bank, among others, were also present.
