Bangladeshi company Label Makers to invest $1.14 million in Dhaka EPZ

The Label Makers Ltd, a Bangladeshi company, is going to invest $1.14 million in Dhaka Export Processing Zone to establish a garment accessories industry.

Mohammad Faruque Alam, member of engineering and investment promotion at the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (Bepza), and Md Shahriar, managing director of the Label Makers Ltd, inked an agreement at Bepza complex in Dhaka today.

The company will produce annually a total of 1.6 billion pieces of label, hang tag, elastic, paper packaging, seal cord, loop, self-adhesive sticker, poly bag, biodegradable poly bag, pet film image and heat transfer label.

The investment will create an employment opportunity for around 285 Bangladeshi nationals.

Bepza Executive Chairman Major General Md Nazrul Islam and Secretary Md Zakir Hossain Chowdhury were also present at the deal signing ceremony.
