Chinese company to get Tk 173cr contract to operate Bangabandhu Bridge

The government has decided to give a Chinese company Tk 172.61 crore contract to operate and maintain Bangabandhu Bridge for the next five years.

The cabinet committee on purchase approved a proposal in this regard in a meeting chaired by Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal today.

Bangladesh Bridge Authority proposed hiring China Communications Construction Company Ltd at a cost of Tk 172.61 crore for the operation and maintenance of Bangabandhu Bridge for the next 5 years.

Additional Secretary to the Cabinet Division Shamsul Arefin shared information with the journalists after the meeting.
