Gulshan Youth Club to host 9-day inter-club sportsfest

More than 1,000 athletes from 21 clubs are expected to participate in the 2026 competition

Gulshan Youth Club Ltd has launched the inter-club sportsfest “ULLASH 2026 – Season 2”, scheduled for October 30 to November 7 this year.

The nine-day event will feature 14 sporting disciplines: 100-ball cricket, badminton, basketball, chess, seven-a-side football, golf, eight-ball pool, padel, swimming, table tennis, tennis, quiz, marathon and arm wrestling.

More than 1,000 athletes from 21 clubs are expected to participate in the competition.

Wahiduzzaman Tamal, president of Gulshan Youth Club Ltd, made the announcement at the launching programme at Sheraton Dhaka in Banani on Monday.

He thanked the participating clubs and athletes for their support and commitment to promoting sports and making the event a successful one.

The participating clubs are All Community Club Ltd, Gulshan North Club Ltd, BAGHA Club, IBA Alumni Club Ltd, Banani Club Ltd, International Recreation Club Ltd, Baridhara Cosmopolitan Club, Kurmitola Golf Club, Bangladesh China Club Ltd, Narayanganj Club, Cadet College Club, Netherlands Recreation Centre (Dutch Club, Dhaka), Club Notredamians Bangladesh Ltd, Nordic Club, Club Shaheen Ltd, Saints Club Ltd, Dhaka Boat Club Ltd, Uttara Club Ltd, Dhaka Club Ltd, Corporate Executive Club and Gulshan Club Ltd, along with the host Gulshan Youth Club Ltd.

Mehadi Hasan, secretary general of Gulshan Youth Club Ltd and chairman of the ULLASH 2026 organising committee, also thanked the participating clubs for their cooperation and support.

He said the sportsfest would provide an exciting experience for athletes and sports enthusiasts while strengthening friendship, camaraderie and healthy competition among the participating clubs.

Iftekhar Rahman, Iffat Ambarin Joya and Ameer Ali Mustafa, vice-chairmen of the organising committee; Fuad Bin Sajjad, coordinator of sports; and Ajoy Kumar Kundu, coordinator of press, media and marketing, among others, were also present.
