Legal consultant to assist Petrobangla for LNG import

A legal consultant will be hired for assisting the import of liquefied natural gas (LNG) by Petrobangla under the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources.

The cabinet committee on purchase approved a proposal in this regard in a meeting chaired by Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal today.

As per the proposal, G. Thomas (TOM) West, Jr, a legal consultant, will be appointed as for legal assistance in LNG import activities by the Petrobangla for five years at Tk 5.59 crore, Shamsul Arefin, additional secretary of the Cabinet Division, said after the meeting.
