PM wants quick disposal of pending tax cases

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today directed the authorities concerned for quick disposal of the tax related cases pending at the high court, as those cases have the potential to generate a lot money for the government.

The premier gave the directive at a meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (Ecnec) in Dhaka.

Planning Minister MA Mannan shared the information of the directive at a press briefing after the Ecnec meeting.

The prime minister also ordered for fast readjustment of the market prices whenever the schedule of rates is changed, Mannan said.
