Special council formed for jute goods’ promotion

The commerce ministry today announced forming a new platform titled 'Jute Products Business Promotion Council' (JPBPC) to improve market for jute and jute goods as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has announced jute goods as the product of the year for 2023.

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi inaugurated the JPBPC at an event at the secretariat office in Dhaka.

The government has been promoting export of different goods by forming seven different business promotion councils, the commerce ministry said in a statement.
