AKIJ Pharmacy opens first flagship outlet in Banani

AKIJ Pharmacy has opened its first flagship outlet in Banani, Dhaka.

The outlet was inaugurated at Ataturk Tower on Kemal Ataturk Avenue on Monday. Actor and physician SM Ejajul Islam attended the opening.

AKIJ Pharmacy began operations in June 2025. It says it focuses on providing authentic medicines at affordable prices. The chain currently operates 13 outlets across Dhaka, Sylhet, Khulna, Pabna and Jashore.

Istiuck Ali Talukdar, Chief Business Officer of AKIJ Pharmacy, said, "Our main goal is to provide safe, quality medicines to the customers at affordable prices. We have created our uniqueness in the competitive market by providing quality medicines, customer-oriented services and using the latest technology. Our goal is to gain customer trust and build long-term relationships."

He also said the pharmacy offers advice from experienced pharmacists and fast service. He said the company plans to open 500 more outlets in the next three years.

Towfique Hasan, Chief Business Development Officer of AKIJ Resource, said, "The main objective of entering the pharmacy retail business is to provide safe, affordable and authentic medicines to the people."

Sujan Ghosh, Head of Operations at AKIJ Pharmacy, and senior officials of AKIJ Resource and AKIJ Pharmacy were also present at the inauguration.
