Annual drama festival ends at Scholastica

The two-day Annual Drama Festival at Scholastica Mirpur Campus concluded today [Friday], said a press release.

This year, students from the school's Drama, Music, and Dance Clubs staged the beloved children's classic "Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne" by Upendrakishore Ray Chowdhury at the STM Auditorium.

On the first day, renowned film director and screenwriter Giasuddin Selim attended the event as the chief guest, while on the second day, Prof Syed Jamil Ahmed, founding chair of the Department of Theatre and Performance Studies at the University of Dhaka, graced the occasion.

Nurun Nahar Mozumder, principal of Scholastica Mirpur Campus, also addressed the audience.

The play was directed by Sunny Ghosh. Performers included Barnil Murchona, Ananya Adri Zara, Tajim Tajwar, Bin Yamin Khan Rhythm, Afsara Tasnim Zara and others. Music direction was by Syed Mehraj Kabir and dance direction by Shammi Yasmin Jhinuk and Tanzila Meghla.
