Bangladesh Retail Congress focuses on knowledge-driven growth

The Bangladesh Retail Congress 2026 brought together industry leaders to discuss the future of the country’s retail sector.

The day-long summit was organised by Bangladesh Retail Forum in collaboration with Bangladesh Brand Forum at Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel in Dhaka, says a press release.

The event, themed “Transforming Retail Through Knowledge”, featured participation from retailers, brand leaders, supply chain experts and business strategists.

The programme included three keynote sessions, three panel discussions and two insight sessions focusing on consumer behaviour, data-driven strategies and technology integration.

Sajid Mahbub of Bangladesh Brand Forum said the retail sector is being reshaped by how businesses use knowledge to adapt and grow.

He said platforms like the congress help industry stakeholders share insights and build a more resilient retail ecosystem.

Speakers at the event included representatives from companies such as International Distributions Company Bangladesh, Unilever Bangladesh and Omni StrateG.

Discussions covered topics including supply chain optimisation, consumer insights, digital transformation and the role of technology in retail operations.

Participants also highlighted the importance of collaboration and data-driven decision-making in addressing emerging challenges in the sector.

Organisers said the congress aimed to support the development of a more agile and consumer-focused retail industry in Bangladesh.
