Bangladesh women’s volleyball team set for CAVA Cup in Maldives
Bangladesh Women's Volleyball Team will take part in the CAVA Cup for Women 2025 in Malé, Maldives, from December 19 to 25.
The team will leave for Malé on December 17 after completing a four-month training camp at BKSP. The side will be led by captain Most. Sabina Khatun.
The tournament will feature teams from Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Maldives, Turkmenistan and Bangladesh.
Faruque Hassan, President of the Bangladesh Volleyball Federation and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology, has provided three sets of official kits and extended support for the team's preparation. He noted that this will be the first time Bangladesh's women volleyball players compete abroad. He said the preparations have been satisfactory and expressed his expectation that the team will return as champions. He also sought support and prayers from the nation.
Sharmin Hassan Tithi, Chairman of the Bangladesh Volleyball Women's Committee, has been supporting the team throughout its preparations. She said that with advanced training and strong determination, the Bangladesh women's volleyball team is set to compete in the CAVA Cup 2025.
