Darland International School ignites young minds at Science Fair 2025

Innovation, creativity, and hands-on learning took center stage at Darland International School's Science Fair 2025, held today at the school campus in Mirpur-10.

The event showcased the school's continued commitment to nurturing scientific curiosity, practical skills, and future-ready innovators.

The fair was organised under the guidance of Chairman Fazlur Rahman, Director Shirin, and Academic Director Ratul, whose visionary leadership continues to promote experiential learning at Darland. The programme was coordinated by Pro-Vice Principal Rozina Azim, along with the dedicated Science Fair team of teachers - Shafiq, Shawon, Dina, Merina, Mainul, and other faculty members who mentored students throughout the project development process.

Students presented a diverse range of projects merging creativity with real-world application. Highlights included holographic displays, 3D models of human organs, solar-powered smart homes, wind-powered plants, robot cars with obstacle detection, and smart city IoT systems. Standout innovations such as Tesla coil experiments, smart security locks, and space science models drew special appreciation from visitors and judges alike.

Distinguished judges - Fazle Elahi Tonmoy from Robodemy and Dhumketux, and Amir Hamza from International Standard University - evaluated projects across senior, middle, and junior sections, offering insightful feedback and encouragement. The champion projects were Home Automation, Tesla Coil, and Robotics, while Automated Obstacle Detection, Respiratory System Models, Smart Security Locks, and Lunar Eclipse Demonstrations received first runner-up honors.

Students were recognised with certificates and crests celebrating their creativity, teamwork, and scientific enthusiasm.

Events like the Darland Science Fair help students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills through practical engagement with real-world challenges.
