DIU celebrates Parents’ Day with students and families

Daffodil International University celebrated Parents' Day 2025 on December 12, 2025, at its Daffodil Smart City campus.

The day-long programme was arranged by the Art of Living programme under the Office of Students' Affairs. It focused on family values and strengthening ties among parents, students and teachers.

More than 2,000 students and their parents took part in the programme. Many students expressed gratitude to their parents in emotional moments across the campus.

Actor and writer Abul Hayat attended as chief guest. He said, "Parents are the first university in every child's life. No matter how much the world changes, the love and moral values taught within the family remain a young person's greatest strength. DIU's approach to combining humanity with modern education is truly commendable."

Vice Chancellor M R Kabir thanked parents for their support. He said, "Our aim is not only to teach but to nurture character, empathy, and responsibility in our students. Parents' Day reminds us that behind every student's success, there is a strong foundation built by the family."

Founder and Chairman of Daffodil International University Sabur Khan spoke about the institution's focus on values in education. He said, "Our mission is to prepare a generation that will lead society with integrity, ethics, and humanity. Parents' Day shows that education is beyond books it is a shared journey of family, community, and meaningful experience."

The programme included cultural performances, interactive sessions and parent–teacher–student discussions. A symbolic feet-washing ceremony was also held. Parents visited campus facilities and spoke with university officials about academic and personal development.

Parents' Day 2025 highlighted the role of family in education and reinforced emotional bonds between students and their parents.
