DIU's 8th Convocation held

The 8th Convocation of Dhaka International University was held at the PSC Convention Hall Mirpur-14 today.

Prof M Aminul Islam, special assistant to the chief adviser (status of state minister), Ministry of Education, was present as chief guest, according to a press release.

Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan was present as the convocation speaker.

Mohammad Anwar Hossain, member, Bangladesh Grants Commission; Barrister Shamim Haider Patwary, chairman, Board of Trustees at DIU; Prof Ganesh Chandra Saha, vice-chairman, Board of Trustees; Md Akhtaruzzaman, vice-chairman, Board of Trustees were present.

Four students received the Chancellor's Award, 10 students received the Vice-Chancellor's Award and 13 students received the Dean's Award.

A cultural function was held at the end.
