French ambassador visits AIUB to promote higher education in France

The American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) hosted a delegation from the Embassy of France in Bangladesh to promote higher education opportunities in France.

The delegation was led by Jean-Marc Séré-Charlet, ambassador of France to Bangladesh, says a press release.

Baptiste Lebret, cultural attaché, and Syeda Naasiba Hossain, country head of Campus France Bangladesh, were also part of the delegation.

The ambassador held a meeting with Ishtiaque Abedin, founder member of the board of trustees of AIUB; Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam, vice chancellor; Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, pro vice chancellor; Group Captain (Retd) Dr. Mohammad Zahidul Islam Khan, registrar; and Prof. Dr. Manzur H. Khan, proctor.

The delegation also interacted with students and faculty members and visited the campus.

A session titled “Higher Education in France” was conducted by Syeda Naasiba Hossain.

The session covered the French education system, academic programmes, tuition fees, scholarships and living costs.

Jean-Marc Séré-Charlet highlighted France’s commitment to international academic collaboration.

The university said the visit aimed to strengthen educational ties between Bangladesh and France.
