GPH Ispat honours GPA-5 achievers from Sitakunda
GPH Ispat has honoured meritorious students from the Sitakunda region who achieved GPA-5 in the HSC and Alim examinations.
The programme, titled GPH Shining Stars Recognition–2025, was held on December 27 at the GPH Ispat plant premises in Kumira, Sitakunda.
Speaking as chief guest, Mohammed Almas Shimul, additional managing director of GPH Ispat, urged young people to contribute to national development. "Instead of seeking opportunities abroad, you must use your talents to serve this promising country and repay your debt to the motherland," he said.
He said GPH Ispat, which produces earthquake-resistant and high-strength 600-grade steel, is now investing in research-based education. He encouraged students to pursue quality education and balanced lives, and said the company would continue supporting meritorious and underprivileged students in Sitakunda.
During the event, Saiham Sadik Pial, future leader of GPH, distributed certificates, prize bonds, and gift boxes among the students.
