ICPC Asia Dhaka Regional Contest 2025 to held at BUBT on Dec 20

Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) held a press conference on December 17, 2025, on the upcoming ICPC Asia Dhaka Regional Contest 2025.

The briefing took place at the university's International Conference Hall in Dhaka. Journalists from national newspapers, television channels and digital media attended.

The university said the main contest will be held on December 20, 2025, at its campus. This will be the fourth time Bangladesh University of Business and Technology is organising the regional contest.

Vice Chancellor A B M Shawkat Ali said, "The primary goal of this program is to hunt for the best programmers in Bangladesh and provide them a platform to represent our nation on the global stage."

Organisers said the 2025 contest has recorded the highest participation in Bangladesh so far. A total of 939 contestants from 313 teams will compete.

BUBT Trust member Md Shamsul Huda was present at the event. Technical details of the contest were shared by Md Saifur Rahman, Chairman of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at BUBT, and Abul Lais M S Haque, Associate Director of ICPC Asia Dhaka Site 2025. ICPC World Finals judge Shahriar Manzoor and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences Munshi Mahbubur Rahman also attended.

The session was moderated by Md Ashraful Islam, Assistant Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at BUBT.
