'Infinity Run for the Earth 2025’ to be held on Dec 19 at Hatirjheel

'Infinity Run for the Earth 2025' will take place at Hatirjheel in Dhaka on December 19 with a focus on environmental protection and healthy living.

The event is being organised by The Athlete X. More than 2,500 runners from across the country are expected to take part. Fitness groups, youth organisations, families and environmentally conscious citizens will also join the programme.

Organisers said environmental responsibility guides all initiatives by The Athlete X. The run reflects a commitment to sustainability and encourages communities to adopt healthier and more responsible lifestyles.

Several environment-friendly measures have been introduced. These include recycled running jerseys, paper cups instead of plastic, digital boards in place of printed posters, and decorations made from jute and cotton along the route. Organisers said the event design reduces environmental impact at every stage.

The organisers said the run is not only a sporting event but a collective commitment to the planet. The Daily Star is the strategic media partner of the programme.

"As the Corporate Ambassador of Infinity Run for the Earth 2025, I firmly believe sustainability must move beyond policy documents and become a lived practice. 'Run for the Earth' sends a strong message to the corporate world—that environmental responsibility, employee well-being and community engagement can be seamlessly integrated. Purpose-driven initiatives like this create long-term value for both business and society, while helping build healthier and more socially responsible workforces," said Md. Tareq Uddin, Corporate Ambassador of Infinity Run for the Earth 2025.

The organisers thanked Infinity, the title sponsor, for supporting the initiative and enabling environment-friendly branding throughout the event.
