JCI Dhaka Cosmopolitan delivers water access, jobs and business support in Nilphamari

JCI Dhaka Cosmopolitan has expanded its community development work in Botlagari of Nilphamari's Saidpur, through three new initiatives focused on clean water, small businesses and local livelihoods.

The organisation announced the installation of a second deep tube well under its Aqua Rise programme. The well is now providing safe drinking water to 200–300 families, as well as students of a local school and a madrasa. The project, carried out with the Sidrah Foundation, is part of a broader plan to install more wells in nearby areas to ease the long-running water crisis.

JCI Dhaka Cosmopolitan also marked the fifth year of Rise on Wheels, a project that helps underprivileged residents through income-generating rickshaws. Four rickshaws were distributed this year, bringing the total to 14 since the project began.

In a separate effort to support local entrepreneurship, the organisation completed Rise with Shops. The project renovated and restocked two small grocery shops to help their owners restart their businesses.

The initiatives reflect the organisation's continued work to support sustainable development and strengthen livelihoods in rural communities.
