LGED–CReLIC hold Inception Workshop on Lesson

The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) organised an inception workshop on documenting lessons learned and best practices under a climate resilience project.

The workshop was held at the LGED headquarters and organised by the Climate Resilient Local Infrastructure Centre (CReLIC) under the Climate Resilient Infrastructure Mainstreaming Project (CRIMP), says a press release.

Md Azharul Islam, additional chief engineer of LGED and director of CReLIC, chaired the session.

Chief Engineer Md Belal Hossain attended as chief guest.

He said the initiative aims to create a structured knowledge repository to support future infrastructure projects.

He said the documentation, including videos and factsheets, will serve as references for policymakers, development partners and local government institutions.

Representatives from Aroni Advertising Ltd presented their methodology for developing the documentation.

The presentation was delivered by team leader Pankaj Palit along with officials from the firm.

Senior LGED officials, project directors, engineers and consultants attended the workshop.

LGED said the initiative is expected to support knowledge-sharing and strengthen climate-resilient infrastructure planning in Bangladesh.
