Regional rounds of ‘MARKS Allrounder’ conclude in Bogura, Netrakona, Kishoreganj, Sitakunda and Bhola

The regional phase of the nationwide talent competition "MARKS Allrounder" has successfully concluded its recent rounds in Bogura, Netrakona, Kishoreganj, Sitakunda and Bhola.

With the slogan "Show the world your talent," the event has once again drawn an overwhelming response from students across the country, reaffirming its position as one of Bangladesh's largest and most popular talent platforms for young people.

Organised in three phases - Regional, Divisional and National - the competition is open to students from Play Group to Grade 12 and equivalent institutions. Regional auditions are being held in 100 locations across the country to ensure wide participation from all corners of Bangladesh.

The most recent regional rounds were held on October 24 and 25 at Abbasia High School in Netrakona, Nishindara Fakir Uddin School & College in Bogura, Sitakunda Government Technical School & College in Sitakunda, Bhola Government Women's College in Bhola, and Arjat Atarjan High School in Kishoreganj. Preparations are now underway for the next rounds, scheduled for October 31 and November 1 in Rangpur, Kurigram, Khulna, Bagerhat, Rajshahi, Dinajpur, Thakurgaon, Tangail, Lalmonirhat, Satkhira, Chapainawabganj, Nilphamari, Panchagarh, Jamalpur and Sherpur.

Earlier regional rounds have already been completed in Chattogram, Cumilla, Brahmanbaria, Lakshmipur, Chandpur, Jashore, Magura, Noakhali, Feni, Sylhet, Natore, Pabna, Moulvibazar, Habiganj, Sunamganj, Faridpur, Madaripur, Gopalganj, Shariatpur, Rajbari, Gaibandha, Joypurhat, Naogaon, Mirsarai, Sandwip, Sirajganj and several other districts.

Participants are competing across three age-based groups - Junior School (Play Group to Grade 4), Middle School (Grades 5 to 8) and High School & College (Grades 9 to 12)—in six categories: Singing, Dance, Acting, Drawing, Recitation and either Storytelling or Impromptu Speech, depending on the group.

The MARKS Allrounder programme offers one of the most generous scholarship packages for young talents in Bangladesh. Each Champion from the three competition groups will receive a scholarship worth BDT 15 lakh, while participants across all stages will share over BDT 1 crore in gifts and scholarships. At the Grand Finale, First Runners-up from each group will receive BDT 5 lakh, and Second Runners-up will receive BDT 3 lakh. The top three performers in each of the six categories—a total of 54 winners—will be awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze medals, and the schools of the three National Champions will each receive a desktop computer.

From the regional to national levels, the programme has become a remarkable opportunity for young individuals to learn, express themselves and grow in both skill and confidence.
