Ribana founder wins National SME Micro Entrepreneur award

Md Wahiduzzaman, founder of organic skin and haircare brand Ribana, has been named National SME Micro Entrepreneur of the Year 2025 for his contribution to rural employment and eco-friendly production.

Ribana began in 2015 as a small handmade soap venture. Wahiduzzaman introduced natural soaps made with ingredients sourced directly from rural farmers. The brand now supports more than 100 goat farmers, raw-material producers and around 50 rural women involved in processing.

Ribana has grown into a leading organic brand in Bangladesh, with products sold in major retail chains and across more than 50 online platforms. Its items are also available in Australia, the United States and Dubai through Amazon. The company is registered in the United States, with preparations under way to open its first outlet there.

Wahiduzzaman said: "A Bangladeshi organic brand reaching Australia, America, and Dubai is not just Ribana's achievement but a milestone for our country. This recognition encourages us to move forward with even greater confidence as we expand into international markets."
