Science teachers’ conference planned to promote innovation in classrooms
Bangladesh Freedom Foundation (BFF), the Human Resource Development Institute (HRDI) of Daffodil International University and Daffodil International Professional Training Institute (DIPTI) have signed a Terms of Reference (ToR) to jointly organise the National Secondary School Science Teachers’ Conference 2026.
The signing ceremony was held at the DIPTI office in Dhaka, according to a press release.
Among those present were Mohammad Nuruzzaman, chief executive officer of Daffodil Group; K M Hasan Ripon, executive director of DIPTI and Skills and Ecosystems of Daffodil Group; Amir Hamza, assistant director of the Human Resource Development Institute (HRDI), Daffodil International University; and Sazzadur Rahman Chowdhury, executive director of Bangladesh Freedom Foundation.
The ToR was signed by K M Hasan Ripon, Amir Hamza and Sazzadur Rahman Chowdhury on behalf of their respective organisations.
Under the partnership, the organisations will jointly organise the National Secondary School Science Teachers’ Conference 2026, bringing together around 150 science teachers from different parts of Bangladesh.
According to the organisers, the conference will serve as a platform for knowledge sharing, professional development, collaboration and the promotion of technology-enabled science education practices.
The initiative will focus on strengthening teachers’ professional skills, encouraging inquiry-based learning, promoting the use of digital learning tools, supporting science club activities and establishing a National Science Teachers Network.
The organisers said the conference is expected to contribute to the development of a future-ready science education ecosystem and support teachers in inspiring the next generation of innovators, researchers and problem-solvers.
