SMC Enterprise holds ‘Annual Sales Conference’ for FY 2024-25

SMC Enterprise Limited held its Annual Sales Conference for the fiscal year 2024–25 on December 4, 2025, at Hotel Sea Palace Limited in Cox's Bazar.

The event was held under the theme "SMC Tarokalap". It celebrated achievements, recognised high-performing members of the sales team and outlined strategic direction for sustainable growth.

The programme was attended by Faruque Ahmed, Chairman of SMC and SMC Enterprise Limited; Siddiqur Rahman Choudhury, Director and former Chairman; Engineer Md Siddique Ullah, Director; Dr Jahir Uddin Ahmed, Director; Aftab ul Islam FCA, Director; Dr Yasmin Hemayet Ahmed, Director; and Ranjit Kumar Chakraborty, Director. Senior management of SMC and SMC Enterprise Limited were also present.

SMC has worked for 50 years to improve the quality of life in Bangladesh. It is recognised globally for its role in population control and for containing the diarrhoea epidemic. It is the largest provider of family planning products and services in Bangladesh and the world's largest producer of oral rehydration saline.

Since its launch in 2014 as a commercial subsidiary, SMC Enterprise Limited has helped SMC become self-reliant in continuing its social development work. The organisation has expanded into several categories, including oral rehydration, contraceptives, sanitary products and food and beverage items.

SMC Enterprise Limited is one of the fastest-growing commercial entities in Bangladesh. Its success reflects an understanding of consumer needs, competitive pricing and a commitment to quality. The organisation has made significant changes in sales and distribution and will continue to adapt to market conditions.

Faruque Ahmed said improving people's lives is central to SMC's vision. He said an efficient sales and distribution network, an innovative product portfolio and a willingness to embrace change are essential.

Toslim Uddin Khan, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of SMC, said transformation has shaped SMC's 50-year journey. He said the commercial subsidiary empowers the organisation to meet its mission and that the sales team makes its ambitions possible.

Sayef Nasir, Managing Director of SMC Enterprise Limited, said the company must embrace change to remain relevant in a fast-moving market. He said the focus remains on innovation, quality and building a high-performing sales team.

Md Feroze-Ul-Alam, Deputy Managing Director (Operations), said the operations and factory teams are working to ensure quality, efficient production and timely supply as the sales team drives growth.

Abul Bashir Khan, Chief Financial Officer of SMC Enterprise Limited, said the financial performance reflects the work of the sales team and the wider organisation. He said this has delivered steady revenue growth, better resource use and stronger financial stability.

C N Mandal, General Manager, Sales, and convener of the programme, said the milestones of FY2024–25 reflect the dedication of sales colleagues. He said the next focus will be on strategic transformation to improve performance in FY2025–26.

The event ended with a musical performance by Dilshad Nahar Kona. The programme was hosted by Dr Raiatun Tehrin and Sayeem Jahangir.
