Syngenta Bangladesh and The Daily Star launch nationwide agriculture scholarship

Syngenta Bangladesh Limited and The Daily Star have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch the "Proyash Agriculture Scholarship", a nationwide initiative designed to recognize and support outstanding agricultural students across Bangladesh.

The MoU was signed at Syngenta Bangladesh's head office by Hedayet Ullah, Managing Director of Syngenta Bangladesh Limited, and Md. Tajdin Hassan, Chief Business Officer of The Daily Star. Senior officials from both organisations were present at the signing ceremony.

Under this collaboration, 150 final-year students from agricultural universities across the country will receive the scholarship, which seeks to honor not only academic excellence but also leadership potential, innovation, and commitment to advancing Bangladesh's agricultural sector.

Applications for the Proyash Agriculture Scholarship will open in November 2025 through a dedicated online portal hosted by The Daily Star. The programme will culminate in December 2025 with an award ceremony celebrating the recipients' achievements and contributions to agricultural education.

Through this partnership, Syngenta Bangladesh and The Daily Star reaffirmed their shared mission to invest in the next generation of agricultural innovators and strengthen Bangladesh's journey toward sustainable food security.
