Trade International Industries wins South Asian Business Excellence Award

Trade International Industries Limited, the manufacturing unit of Electro Mart Group, has received the South Asian Business Excellence Award for Best Manufacturer of the Year (Electronics) 2025.

The award was handed over by former Sri Lankan president Maithripala Sirisena to the group's DMD Md. Nurul Afser at the 9th South Asian Partnership Summit in Colombo.

The award recognises contributions to industry and business across Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The ceremony in Colombo included leaders and representatives from the region.

Konka and Gree electronics and home appliances entered the Bangladesh market through Electro Mart Group. Customer trust and demand helped the company grow from a trading business into a manufacturing operation. Since 2018, the group has been producing Konka and Gree, along with its own Haiko brand, at its factory in Narayanganj.

Through technology sharing with China, the group now manufactures and markets eco-friendly electronics and home appliances for Bangladeshi consumers. Konka, Gree and Haiko products have become popular because of their features, quality, acceptability, after-sales service and price. Konka's range includes refrigerators, freezers, LED TVs, washing machines, microwave ovens, mixer grinders, electric kettles, gas stoves, infrared cookers, pressure cookers, rice cookers and electric irons. Gree offers ceiling, wall, cassette, VRF, ducted and chiller air conditioners, portable ACs, air purifiers, dehumidifiers, air coolers, air circulator fans and air curtains.
