A day of Protest, Attack

It was another day of attack on road safety demonstrators by alleged activists of Chhatra League, the ruling Awami League's student wing. Despite the previous day's violence in different parts of the country, the student protesters took to the streets in great numbers, only to be beaten up mercilessly. Yesterday, journalists covering the protest and the attack on the students were the main target. In the beating, at least 12 journalists and photographers were injured. The attackers did not spare even curious onlookers who took photo or video of the attack, beating them and breaking their phones. The photos were taken from different parts of the capital
