Coins of History

The Taka Museum located on the second floor of Bangladesh Bank Training Academy in Dhaka's Mirpur was opened on April 27, 2013. Featuring the currency from ancient times, not exclusive to takas, the museum has much to teach. It also houses commemorative coins of the Independence War, Language movement and other notable days. The attractions are not only for numismatics, or coin collectors, but for anyone with an interest in history. The tales that these metals and pieces of paper can tell are rich in history, waiting to tell their secrets to those who ask.
