Peace at Last

They play on the rope bridge, climb the bamboo wall, swing to heights, go through the obstacle course, and watch others play from a bamboo-made pavilion. The children, many of whom are orphaned and have physical and intellectual disabilities, have found a home thanks to the Local Education and Economic Development Organisation (LEEDO), a non-profit. The NGO had the Peace Home built for children at Basila in the capital. It is a permanent home for the children equipped with formal education, food, shelter, entertainment, sports and games facilities. Of the 52 children currently there, 22 have special needs.
