2 die in compressor explosion

Two people were killed and two others injured as a compressor exploded at a dyeing factory in the capital's Kadamtali last night.

The deceased were Delwar, 45, and Sohag, 25, while the injured are Zillur Rahman, 30, and Musa, 25.

The accident occurred at Evergreen Dyeing Factory around 9:30pm.

They were taken to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared Delwar and Sohag dead around 10:15pm.

Humayun Ahmed, superviser of the factory, said around 10 to 12 workers were working during the explosion.

The four victims were closer to the compressor, he added.
