2 ice cream factories sealed, 40 illegal structures demolished in Ctg

Two ice cream factories were sealed off and 40 illegal structures were demolished in Chittagong yesterday.

In Chandgaon area of the city, a mobile court of the Chittagong district administration sealed off the ice cream factories -- Kohinoor Ice Bar and Lucky Ice Bar -- for running their business illegally and using harmful ingredients.

The court also fined Kohinoor Ice Bar Tk 50,000. Owner of the other factory fled.

Meanwhile, another court of the Chittagong Port Authority demolished 40 illegal tin-roofed structures at East colony of Bandar area.
